When we stop to look at where we are, if it’s the same place you’ve been for so long-without seeing any change, is that what you have determined to be your goal? Whether its health, wellness, fitness, employment, or enjoyment…is this “place” you reside, where you want to “be”?
I’m often asked about change and why it’s so difficult to make changes that last more than a few weeks or a few months. And to answer that question, I always come back to the same question… “what makes this change so important and worthwhile to you?” If the change is leading you toward your goals with intension and purpose and your goals are goals that you REALLY believe in, then the missing pieces are the right steps that become daily habits and soon, daily habits become lifestyle changes that are sustainable.

Six years ago unbeknownst to me, I was going through the steps of wanting to sustain health and what I was actually doing was just treading water…not seeing any movement forward and looking back on that journey, I was actually taking steps backwards for quite some time. It wasn’t until I set my intentions and made a commitment 3 years ago–driven by my life goals-that I saw a real and sustainable change in my own health and fitness.
